Brisket from Q-BBQ

http://www.q-bbq.com/index

Sometimes a place comes so close yet is so far away from what I am wanting.

This is one of those cases where I would love to have this place close by so I could grab a quick sandwich or some ribs from them.  Even a chopped brisket sandwich with mayo and sauce.  If you are from Chicago one more time here is a great place for you to go get something they think is Texas BBQ brisket.  And the place is really nice.  The people are really nice.  The place is really close to the Brown Line.  There is a Diversey bus stop right out front and bicycle racks.  The brisket is really lean and likely just a flat cause the smoke ring is thin and the brisket dry so it needs help,  The place is really clean.  Sauces, pickles, catsup and little containers for take out.  I really wanted to like the brisket.  Oh well it does make nice sandwiches and wraps.

Tacos from The Six Corners Chipotle

I still have trouble pronouncing it.

The trip one quarter mile due east across Cicero and Milwaukee.

I prefer a bowl or ala carte options here.  Must do the blog though.  It is nice to have this walkable option.  If you get hard shell it is more likely a good idea to eat them right then.

What can I say, It is Chipotle. I thought everybody had eaten at one.
The cheese, quac and salsas are pretty good. The carnitas and barbicoa are cooked way too dry and lean and then a sauce is added. Lettuce is iceberg but at least it is fresh. Peppers would be great with a pork chop or Italian sausage.
The pictures and the comment to go with either a bowl or ala carte really is the review.
The small place on the side is almost as nice as MY Parklet. A certain subreddit should have a gathering there even though it is not BYOB.

Is This a Taco?

The trips - so I guess there were trips to Aldi and Jewel.  There was also a trip my wife made for coffee with a friend and to go shopping in the friends backyard garden while fending off a playful german shepherd for some of the salsa ingredients.  This morning though the trip was just to the kitchen.

Kale leaf, mayo, homemade salsa, bacon, scrambled eggs
